Pirates in general

  • Pirates in general were nasty, ruthless and killed their victims on the spot.
  • They had terrible hygeine and their food supply would often run out, leaving them to starve or eat stale and inedible food.
  • Most of their food supply was heavily salted to preserve it.
  • The captains also gave out ghastly punishments that could result in death. The punishments they used were: Flogging with cat o' nine tails, Keel-hauling and general whippings.
  • Pirates aslo had jobs on board, like swabbing the deck adn stiching anf making clothes. 
  • Pirates have been roving our seas for hundreds of years and their are still a few that are alive to this day.
